Coast Guard searching for missing child in the water near Galveston

The Coast Guard is searching for a missing 7-year-old boy near the Galveston Seawall Tuesday night.
The child was last seen wearing black shorts.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received notification shortly after 8 p.m. of a 7-year-old male who had gone missing while at the beach with his family. The search is ongoing near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard.
A boat and helicopter crew from Coast Guard Station Galveston and Coast Guard Air Station Houston are searching for the boy.

Youtubers Nikki and Dan Phillippi have sparked yet more furious debate - this time for giving up adopting from Thailand after learning their child wouldn t be allowed on social media.
The celeb couple came under fire last week after admitting they put their dog Bowser down because he bit their son.
But now the plot has thickened, as a video from Nikki s YouTube page has re-emerged of the couple in the midst of their adoption journey back in 2018.
Uploaded to Reddit, the clip shows Nikki telling her channel s viewers and subscribers (now at 141 million and 1.28 million retrospectively) that she and her husband were hoping to adopt from Thailand.
Galveston drowning (KPRC)
GALVESTON – A 7-year-old is presumed to have drowned after he went missing while at the beach with his family, Galveston Beach Patrol confirmed Tuesday.
Coast Guard is searching for the 7-year-old boy after he was caught in a rip current on 37th and the Seawall around 7:32 p.m. The child was last seen wearing black shorts, according to reports.
Beach patrol was joined in the search for the boy’s body by a helicopter from the U.S. Coast Guard.
